$42 billion worth of goods are traded annually within the construction supply chain in Saudi Arabia alone. Suppliers of goods can only offer limited credit — in terms of amount and duration — to buyers. Credit is offered based on relationships rather than an objective assessment of risk. Given that small and medium-sized companies that buy these materials get paid only later. This is leading to a cash crisis for small and medium enterprises within the sector and puts them at a disadvantage against larger players.

Seeing this, Build Now was launched in April 2022 by a diverse team with backgrounds including banking, fintech, and construction. Using a credit management platform and an extensive supply chain network, BuildNow digitally captures data points such as financial statements, legal status, and market reputation of a buyer to better evaluate credit risk. This enables Country Now to provide materials on credit terms designed for buyers with cash in advance payment to SME suppliers.
